Hindsight: Fall Outta Bloom @ Beta

It matters not whether the fashion shows are “In Bloom” or “Outta Bloom,” they are always a fond memory any way you slice it. This weekend’s druid-cult-meets-back-to-school fashion party (produced by Potential Fashions) was a decadently smart way to spend an evening watching hot young people walk a straight line, in threads from Cool Waves, The Blues Jean Bar and Hoodoo Nation. It was kind of a kinky high school play, they had people playing trees (Treebeards?), some of them stationary, and some limberly gyrating to the slick techno beats, courtesy of DVDJ G-Funk & Manufactured Superstars. Girls in glittery spandex, and guys with six-pack abs sporting Ace Frehley eye makeup (the Abdominal Snowmen of Inner Strength Fitness) were only a tiny portion of the sultry action that kept the crowd captive and their saliva frothing. I would have taken drama more seriously and called less of those kids fairies if high school had even a tenth of the alcohol and partial nudity that comes requisite with any Beta-hosted, Image-sponsored fashion bash. If you haven’t been to one yet, do your hormones a favor and attend next time.

Can't help to love how everyone seems to come and support Image Mag every time they have badass events like OUTTA BLOOM! Friends, lovers, and even the haters can't stay
