Halloween is the one time of year when role-playing is acceptable on a mass scale. Some professional performance artists get freaky all year round, though. Assembling a killer disguise is as natural as brushing their teeth. It’s practically in their blood. Image Magazine asked the following full-time shape-shifters for their advice on putting together a jaw-dropping costume.
Disguise Advice from the Masters:
“Concept something original that is true to you and your personality. I suggest combining ideas that seem contradictory or otherwise absurd. Once you get past the usual costume stereotypes, the limits are boundless!"
--Ms. Easy
“Do your homework. Research your favorite artists. You don’t have to wear a mask on your face to conceal your identity.”
--Nate the Average
“The devil’s in the details. Go the extra mile to score relevant props and develop your character’s voice and catchphrases.”
