Meet Kitty and Michelle, founders of Denver’s top burlesque troop, Oh la la.  After meeting five and a half years ago in New Orleans, these ladies brought the art of burlesque to Denver.  By combining a variety of styles and types of music and adding hip hop and other dances to their act, they’ve created a unique style of burlesque.

The best part about trying a cigar at the Robusto Room was that I could enjoy it wherever I wanted, as they allow smoking throughout the entire establishment. Hanging out at the Robusto Room was like being on a “Robusto Flight”; there is no other place like it where you can experience so many different things in one night without leaving one place.

Service is outstanding, with the staff attentive and friendly as the Highland Pacific Oyster Bar combines the comfort of neighborhood with the distinction of an excellent chef.  In fact, Kammerer received one of just eight nominations for the 2005 Colorado Chef of the Year.

Along comes a new breed of street poet, a kinder and gentler generation of librettists, led by Oakland-born-and-bred Del tha Funkee Homosapien.  Seeking to go deeper, stepping away from the trigger, with lyrics reflecting his interests, offering themes that veer from ‘pop’ hip-hop: bad hygiene, intergalactic battles, and to a financially sound note, video games.

Utilizing junk art that, on the stage, looks prehistoric to such a degree it hearkens back to the Flintstones, Blue Man Group merged the sideshow influence of a traveling circus with the breakdown influence of electronica and heavy rock orchestrations that make Zeppelin's The Song Remains the Same look like Barney and the Backyard Gang.

As the driving forces behind local live electronica act Andramada, they have been at it for the better part of two and a half years.  And, if you’re measuring from project conception, the realization took nearly an entire decade.  The end is finally in sight, though.  The Enchanted Experiment is set to be released at Kevin Larson’s Victorian Fetish Ball--the Saturday before Halloween at Tabu.
