...loneliness hasn’t really been much of an issue lately for the up and coming DJ, as he’s been an integral part of Sound Pharmacy’s successful Wednesday night Milk Bar residency for nearly a year now.

When Marrs, his bulldog King Dozer and business partner Johnny Coast began conceptualizing their new lounge The Lure earlier this year, they decided they desired to erect a room representative of Denver--the capitol of “Colorful Colorado.”

The quintessential jam band plays for hours on end, ignoring blistered fingers that pray for relief and parched throats that hope for just one drink. The Disco Biscuits just might be one such band.

...Aqua is an experience I have, up till now, not been able to find in our fair city. From the moment you walk in, you know that they are in the business of seafood, and they take it very seriously. From the towering 600 gallon fish tank located in the middle of the restaurant, to the bar surrounding it that depicts beach meets sea, you immediately get the message that you ain’t getting a steak on this menu.

Hell, I’m trying to get a ticket for their show at The Fillmore on November 20th because, by all indications, it could be last time the band will roll through the area, and this band is too groundbreaking, too iconic to not see…in any venue. 

With The Crane Wife, The Decemberists have sent a clear and decisive message. “Signing to a major has changed us. But that change was orchestrated by us, and our need to evolve past what we have done before.” And in that task they have succeeded with flying colors.

The reason we’ve moved here, stayed here so long, or hung around after university life was over. It is the reason we’ve turned down jobs on Wall Street. Or compromised film gigs in L.A. Winter in the mountains.
