Not talking about Fight Club is hard enough; not talking about Pangea Organics is impossible.  Pangea is the fastest-growing skincare manufacturer on the planet.  Based in the People’s Republic of Boulder (and named after the original all-inclusive continent), the company was founded in 2001 by one time “Food Whole” peon Joshua Onsyko.  Natural Selection, Pangea’s debut sampler, was compiled and mixed by Pangea’s graphic designer and Westword award-whore DJ Josh Ivy and his Black Bridge partner in crime Benjamin Bussard.  Dotted with down tempo gems from Bassnectar (with String Cheese’s Michael Kang), DJ Harry (featuring d.w.box), Grandpa Mojo, Seafoam, Spaceflight Orchestra (birth handle: Bobby Collins), 21 Dread and Ivy’s collaboration with Seafoam, Strawberry Fish (featuring Community Recordings’ Jon Nedza), the disc is only available in select Whole Foods and via Pangea’s website, PangeaOrganics.com, but seeking it out in either location is well worth the trouble.  Selection gives the company that cares most about your face…a face of its own.
