Whether you are looking to refresh your wardrobe with various seasonal pieces or revamp your entire collection with some quality threads, there is one boutique that comes to mind. Neither exclusive to one designer or style, Chromosome blends sophistication with chic for a unique sampling of designer duds serving both men and women. As the store’s moniker suggests, the vibe at Chromosome is individuality—just like your genetic makeup—everyone is different; and, they want to cater to your personal style and uniqueness.

Owners Gary and Stacey have an extensive background in fashion, presenting a fusion of flair and class that undeniably shows from the moment you step in the door. Aesthetically sound, the store conveys a fresh essence, with men’s wear distinctly on the right and women’s on the left, and an appealing organization by color concept, making for an overall tidy display. With a variety of at least ten moderately priced designer collections always represented on the floor, Chromosome prides themselves in carrying “harder to find” labels, like Ted Baker and Report.

Perhaps one of the greatest attributes of Chromosome is their affordability and versatility. According to Gary, their objective is to “provide opening price points for clothes that can easily be worn to work during the day and also later on in the evening.” In addition, Chromosome creates a fabulous juxtaposition between the New York-East Coast vibe with the West Coast mood for a look that is laidback and hip for Denver. For fall fashion, Gary says that chocolate, plums, and greens are in for both men and women, which is evident in the presentation of clothes on the racks. Overall, Chromosome is a refreshing boutique experience, especially because the labels are affordable and the clothing is incredibly versatile, yet quality is never compromised.

“We are all different. We are all individuals, thus our clothes should be individual.”
Thus Chromosome.
